Dr. Özel is fellowship trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and specializes in urogynecology as well as complex pelvic surgery.  She has received numerous teaching awards and is well published on topics including incontinence surgery, pelvic organ prolapse, colorectal symptoms, urethral masses, interstitial cystitis, and medical education.  In addition to her teaching and research roles, she is part of the Doctors of USC and cares for patients at the USC University Hospital and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.
