Applying for Residency
Interview Dates
The applicant will be invited to interview on one of the following dates: November 12, 19, December 3, 10, 17, 2010.
All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications must be received by November 5, 2010. As with all programs using ERAS, application materials will be distributed by your medical school dean’s office. A minimum of three letters of recommendation are required.

Application Checklist
The following documents must be included in your application:
- Personal Statement
- Curriculum Vitae
- Dean's Letter
- Letters of recommendation (minimum of 3)
- Medical School Transcripts
- For M.D. applicants: USMLE Score Step 1 (and USMLE Step 2, if available)
- For D.O. applicants: NBOME/COMPLEX level I score (and NBOME/COMPLEX level II, if available, USMLE Score Step 1 (and USMLE Step 2, if available)
- J-1 Visa Status or Proof of Residency in US (if not a US Citizen)
- International graduates require the additional documents:
- Valid ECFMG Certificate
- Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter - PTAL from the Medical Board of California (see below). Please note that the Applicant Evaluation Status Letter from the Medical Board of California must be identified as "Recommendation letter number four (4)".

All IMG applicants must have the Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter - PTAL (formerly known as California Status Letter) indicating approval for the applicant to start residency training before they will be considered.

A passing score for the USMLE is required, but there is no minimum score requirement.

There is no requirement based on the number of years since graduation from medical school.

There is no requirement for prior clinical experience in the United States.

Only J-1 visas are sponsored at this institution.
